Description
The Telerik UI for Blazor Floating ToolBar provides events that report and control movement when a toolbar is configured as draggable.
This demo shows the OnDragStart, OnMove, and OnDragEnd events. Dragging the toolbar handle updates the event summary with viewport-relative coordinates, allowing an application to respond to a user action as it happens and when it is committed. The start event provides cancellable event arguments, so business rules can prevent movement before the position changes.
Movement events are useful in document review, image editing, logistics monitoring, and other contextual workflows where a floating command surface must remain available without obscuring essential information. For example, an application can record a preferred toolbar position for a signed-in user, update contextual guidance while the toolbar moves, or reject movement when a protected area is active.
Set Draggable to true to render the toolbar handle and assign handlers to the event parameters. The OnDragStart event exposes the initial position and an IsCancelled flag. OnMove reports the current position during pointer or keyboard movement, while OnDragEnd reports the final committed coordinates. The component remains keyboard accessible: activate Move mode from the handle, adjust the position with arrow keys, and confirm or cancel the operation with Enter or Escape.
