Focus

  • Alt + W focuses the first component in the example

Datasets ChipList

  • Tab moves focus into the group through its active roving-tabindex chip, or from that chip to the next focusable element.
  • Shift + Tab moves focus from the active chip to the previous focusable element.
  • Arrow Right or Arrow Left moves the roving tab stop between the data source chips, same as the standalone ChipList.
  • Enter or Space opens the Data Source popup for the focused chip.

Datasets Popup

  • Arrow Down moves to the next chip in a data-source field list, or from the browser search box to the first TreeView item.
  • Arrow Up moves to the previous chip in a data-source field list, or from the first browser TreeView item to the search box.
  • Tab in a data-source field-list popup, moves focus into the list through its active roving-tabindex chip; pressing Tab again moves focus outside the popup.
  • Shift + Tab from the active chip in a data-source field-list popup, moves focus to the previous focusable element outside the popup.
  • Esc closes the popup and returns focus to the element that opened it.

History

  • Arrow Up or Arrow Down moves the roving tab stop between checkpoints, same as a standard list.
  • Tab from the active checkpoint, moves focus to its restore button. From that button, or from the current checkpoint which has no restore action, moves focus outside the popup.
  • Shift + Tab from a restore button, returns focus to its own checkpoint. From the active checkpoint, moves focus to the previous focusable element outside the popup.

Description

Keyboard navigation provides all web and app users with a fast keyboard-only navigation capability and is also part of the web accessibility features - it enables users with disabilities to fully control their website or app access through the keyboard.

By default, users can only navigate to links, buttons, and form controls with a keyboard. The navigation order in which interactive items receive keyboard focus has to be logical and intuitive. Generally, keyboard navigation logic needs to follow the visual horizontal and vertical flow of the page, for example, left to right and top to bottom, header first followed by the main and then the page navigation.

The keyboard navigation of the Telerik UI for Blazor DatAInsightsComposer is always enabled, as demonstrated in this demo.

This Blazor DatAInsightsComposer Keyboard Navigation example is part of a unique collection of hundreds of Blazor demos, with which you can see all Telerik UI for Blazor components and their features in action. View the source code of the demos from the library or directly adapt, and edit them and their theme appearance in Telerik REPL for Blazor or ThemeBuilder.
